Tried this cafe out for the first time - can't believe I've missed out on it for this long! It's a gorgeous little place with fantastic food and drinks, and proudly anti-I.C.E.. I got the monthly special avocado toast (heaped with ripe avocado, tomatoes, and scrambled eggs, all done perfectly), a delectable blackberry and cream danish, and a cardamiel - a cardamom-miel type drink that wowed me with the interplay of honey and spice. I would recommend this place to anyone, and will absolutely be back.
This cafe is a breath of fresh air in the breakfast scene, especially in Minneapolis. I opted for garam masala tofu scramble, which elevated tofu to the next level-bold, perfectly spicy, and memorable. Friendly servers and a cool vibe, this place is a must go for an amazing breakfast experience in uptown Minneapolis.
Disappointing last order. First time trying the tikka chicken sandwich. Looks nothing like the picture they took themselves (I’d removed onions on my order). Where’s the avocado shown in the picture? If it doesn’t come with it by default why is it in the picture? That’s a bit misleading. Not saucy at all like the picture. The middle of the sandwich doesn’t have much sauce due to this. Idk it’s fine. I like most of the food I’ve tried here. The shakshuka shrunk last time I ordered it and went up in price. I get inflation is inevitable but reducing the amount of food when shakshuka is already made of relatively cheap ingredients is disappointing. I want to support this restaurant more but this kinda stuff discourages me. Side of potatoes had no flavor. I wish I knew they came with sour crea
It was a nice experience coming in on a Friday morning. Not too busy, the service was great and friendly, and the food came out fresh and hot! I got the shakshuka and it was decent as you can see👌🏾 People tend to work on their laptops in here, and the drinks are nice. Definitely coming back!
We stopped by Lake & Bryant for brunch and were pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken tikka sandwich, and it was fantasti. The bread was perfectly warm and toasted, and the shredded chicken tikka was super flavorful. Simple, but it packed a punch. We also tried the extra spicy noodle bowl. Heads up...it lives up to the name. It started off great, and the cold egg on top was a nice touch that helped balance the spice. But toward the end, the flavor fell off a bit and it ended up tasting more bland than bold. Not bad, just not as memorable. That said, the overall vibe was hustle and bustle, energetic but not overwhelming. Definitely worth checking out for a casual brunch with some unique flavor twists.
