If you want a quick waste of $50 for buffet breakfast then go for it. They finally opened back up and they were packed but completely out of all of the meats. No bacon, sausage, onion sausage, or biscuits on the buffet. Once they did refill them it would only be enough for 2 or 3 customers worth and the food pans would be empty again and then more waiting! Grits were lumpy and barely warm as the cheese and butter would not melt. They need to not put the liverpudding behind the eggs because everyone was dropping that stuff in the eggs. Eggs were cold. Got there almost 2 hours before before they stopped serving and the line never stopped and they kept bringing food out so they never ran out but they were not getting it out fast enough. Best hamburger around! Looked like a 1/3 pound burger, all the way with fries and a small tea, all for less than $10. They have to be losing money on this! I plan to try the bar b que buffet sometime, for around $13.

Laird's is a hidden gem. This was my first time and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered a BBQ sandwich and hushpuppies. The sandwich with slaw and pickles was outstanding. Hushpuppies were out of the world! They were the best I have ever had! My next trip this way, I will make sure I stop and eat. Kristian and Sam made me feel right at home. Don't pass up an opportunity to experience a great meal. BTW, I did not try the food bar but next time I will. UPDATE: On my way to see my son, I took a detour to go eat at Laird's BBQ. This time I had the buffet and it was great. Plus the price is fantastic! Service is very good. If you're in North, SC, go by Laird's. You won't be disappointed. BTW, they are only open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Stopped about 1:45 on Sunday and saw the buffet offerings. Fabulous food at a great price, with a senior discount. Place isn't fancy, but clean with great staffing and even better food. Don't know how they keep the fried okra so crispy on a buffet line, but they managed. BBQ, fried chicken and roasted wings all excellent and banana pudding completed a perfect meal!
