Customer Reviews
Food was tasty and fresh, giving homemade Puerto Rican culture and filling. Staff was pleasant and gave big scoops of food, well worth the price (Chipotle take note) It was pretty much empty when we arrived, and I recommend this as a good stop for lunch since it's near the airport. Would definitely come back.
Excellent food , excellent service, eat there for three days . Loved the family atmosphere, Good , affordable food is hard to find in NYC, La Guardia Cafe is the place
The culinary experience was exceptional, with delectable flavors that were consistent with the reputation of Dominican restaurants. The staff demonstrated a commendable level of respect towards customers. However, the pricing of additional items was a point of contention. While the prices for basic menu items appear reasonable, the charges for an extra (1)salami and (1)longaniza were excessive. An additional $2 for an already $14 plate is considered an overcharge. To prevent similar situations, I recommend that management implement signage to alert customers about the potential overcharges associated with additional items. This measure can help avoid customer embarrassment and ensure a more equitable dining experience.
The first time I tried to go to LaGuardoa Cafe I got in town too late. This time I arrived at the airport at 6:30, was hungry and knew I could make it there. So glad we made it! We got the beef and pork with yellow rice. It was SO good. I also ordered a chicken and cheese empanada. Holy moly! They were gigantic, fresh and delicious. The staff were fantastic and so helpful. It's a small location, so not too many places to sit, but we got lucky. The prices were also very reasonable. Super happy I got there and recommend going to give it a try if you're in Queens near the airport.
This place is so good! Glad I walked from. the hotel!
