Lafayette Public Library - Duson Branch

I adore this library and go there all the time. It’s the perfect environment with wonderful indoor and outdoor nooks to read at. Always had a positive time with the staff and felt encouraged to come back. Y’all should try it out!! :)

Ive been going to this library for years, but the lady working the desk now is so rude and condescending. She tried to charge me $20 for my son to get a library card. Her reasoning for this was that we supposedly don't belong at that library bc it's not our parish. Which is incorrect. She suggested we go to rayne, which is much further than where we live. So we went to Scott and they gave my son a card, at no charge. No problems in Scott, and better attitudes and atmosphere.

Nice Librarian and nice quiet library.

I was not able to get into my email. The addendant started but quickly left me to myself ,she came back and once again quickly left. And her assistant was no better. Stating that she's not good with the computer as the other person, I told her that I couldn't tell ,how she left and didn't come back. But of course I don't know their background or training. I am glad that they do have a public libary.
