Lady Fannie Mae's Ultimate Fish Fry

Server was very nice. Food is hot and fresh!! There portions are large. I ordered 10pc wings, half lemon pepper, half southern fired and they were good. My friend ordered fish and grits that she enjoyed, and the plate is the 2pc fried talipia which they threw in an extra fish. I would recommend.

Such lovely people. Extremely kind and hospitable. The food was a miss on the day of our visit. The mac n cheese was dry and without much cheese or flavor. The greens were okay. The lemon pepper wings were tiny and salty. The fries were also salty and grease soaked. The hushpuppies weren’t crispy enough, but had some flavor. The fish itself was flavorful and fried well. I was surprised by the food because the reviews are so great. I’ll chalk it up to a bad day (though, it was a Friday). I don’t come out this way much so I probably won’t be back.

Second time coming to this establishment. Where do I start. First thing I want you guys to do is I want you to organize your restaurant make it look more presentable and clean. It doesn’t look good when the staff is sitting down. And if you’re gonna run the Front of the house make sure she cut down her nails if not, wear gloves. Your restaurant smells like burnt grease. Make sure the fish is seasoned. Make sure your okra has some salt on it. Make sure you actually toss your wings in the sauce. If two people order a meal & sit and dine in how about you bring an extra plate. I try to support black businesses, but if I’m gonna go in there and spend $30 on one meal with a drink and a bottle of water, please make sure that it lives up to the prices. Wanted seafood Got seafood. Great food. Fish pork chops and shrimp were delicious. Even had to grab a banana pudding bc I saw my buddy had one 😂. The drinks were good. Had an uptown. Definitely worth the price. Lost a star bc I feel like the collard greens were (glory greens) but my palate could be wrong. Get by here. Try them. Support them. 🫶🏾

This is great southern comfort food, the vibe and hospitality remind me of my grandma's. The food had generous portions, was fried UPON ordering, and they had plenty of condiments at the table. My only take is that it could use some more seasoning outside of the batter. Will return 🫡
