La Playa | Mexican Restaurant

We had a craving for Mexican food and are so glad we found La Playa. The entire experience was excellent. We had friendly service, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was very clean. We had the house margarita and a Cadillac margarita both were good. We also ordered a wet, super, shrimp burrito along with enchiladas and tacos. All were delicious. The al pastor and carnitas were tender and flavorful, the shrimp burrito had shrimp in every bite. We would definitely come back again when we're in the area.

Delicious food and a very calm atmosphere. We ordered the fish corn tacos and the seafood tortilla bowl and it was absolutely fantastic! The tortilla bowl is literally a bowl made of a fried tortilla, it was so delicious. Also the fish was so tender and beautifully grilled. Will definitely come back again if we’re in Fort Bragg!

Food was great, good size portions, service was excellent, prices were a bit higher than expected but the great enchiladas and stellar service made it worth while. I wasn't a huge fan of the chips, too hard and crunchy, I prefer lighter crispy chips but the horchata was great and came with a free refill delivered in a to go cup when we were done eating, it was a lovely surprise.

Over priced small amount of food and not that good. $15 for veggie quesadilla $18 for chile plate. I got it to go they didn't even give me napkins or silverware. They expect me to eat with my bare hands all this food. $34+ for those 2 dishes. Rip off For almost half the price I get way better food , more food, at the other local Mexican restaurant by Columbia's market up by the laundromat. ALSO the sour cream and guacamole where super runny. Idk if they water it down or what but it's like not even real guacamole or sour cream.

We have an abundance of Mexican food in Fort Bragg but not ones with bars, there are two. Most of the reviews, including mine, are of the other place. I want to rave about La Playa! First they have margaritas too ✅ and awesome even well ones. They have amazing service with a staff that loves to serve, they know the meaning of customer service. The food is spectacular as well. They have a creative menu that can find something for everyone. I’ll be back because they are the only one I found with Buche, or Pork Belly and it is heavenly. I hope that you give these guys a chance, whether a local or tourist, you won’t be sorry. Oh and they have a takeout window as well so you don’t even need to get out of the car.
