La Playa Maya Hudson Oaks

listen , i will ALWAYS tell you the 100% truth about a places i visit becausei dont want you to waste your time and money, we have been going to la playa Maya in Fort worth since I moved up here in 2000. The people know us and are very freindly, the service is above par and most importantly, the food is hot and fresh every single time and because of that we tip extremely good. But here at the Hudson oaks la plya Maya we walk in and are seated immediatel, which is great because they are not busy at all, maybe 7 guest, the decor was good the atmosphere was great and we are thinking "ok this is our new la playa Maya" right? WRONG!!!! we are sitting there waiting for our drinks for a minute then when she comes to take our order, she doesn't write it down my wife orders a COKE with the enchila

Very nice dinner on an early Friday evening. Wasn't busy when we arrived, but definitely was getting busy when we left. The chips were typical. The salsa was very good, but at times was a bit spicy. We ordered shrimp fajitas for 2. It was plenty and pretty good. The shrimp was overcooked, but that is somewhat the expected with a steaming hot cast iron pan. My wife enjoyed a margarita.. We'll definitely go back!

Have eaten here several times recently. Each time we sat in the bar area and had the same waitress. Great service, food came out quick and hit the spot each time.

We sure wish we had tried La Playa Maya sooner. We have been driving past it, at least once a week for over 4 years. The building just doesn't stand out BUT once you step in the door, the inside has a really nice atmosphere and it's well decorated. The food is good and reasonably priced. Portions are generous. Tastes like it's all made from scratch. Service was excellent. Food came out of the kitchen really fast even though they were really busy.

We always have great service and great food when we are here. However, tonight we had Luis as our waiter and his service, manners, attention to detail and to us was so exceptional I had to write a review!! It’s so nice to see young men and women still have pride in what they do! Whoever raised that young man did an amazing job!!!
