La Piazza Express

Just a little hole in the wall place and a small strip mall this pizza joint has some delicious Stromboli, but don’t be fooled. The small is the size of the small pizza and packed with fresh ingredients. Served on a pizza pan. I imagine that the medium and large Are the same but there’s no way one person to eat them. The food was very good. the service was fantastic. The atmosphere a little lacking, but that’s to be expected places like this. This is a Jim. We shouldn’t miss out on food like this.

Ok let me first say I personally work for two pizzerias. This is hands down one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. I could eat pizza every day if I could but my arteries would get mad at me. Love this place the people and atmosphere. This is a must eat.

Our local Italian restaurant was closed tonight so we decided to give this place a try. Ordered two chicken parm’s and a small Italian sub. The spaghetti noodles were very large like they have been sitting in water a while, the chicken cutlets were very soggy with oil, probably would have been better if they had sat and dried for a min. The Italian sub was pretty good, the best part of the meal actually. And for 51$ I would have thought it would be better..

I would avoid the Benson location. Ordered a Vodka pie and was extremely disappointed. There were 2 pieces of pizza without cheese on it, and the pizza dough was raw in the middle. I understand that the Vodka pies aren’t totally covered with cheese, but I at least expect some cheese on each slice since cheese is a topping. Couldn’t eat it due to the raw dough and my family wasted $24. I’ve never had an issue at the location off 42, but this experience has really turned me off 😞

This is the kind of neighborhood gem you’re lucky to have nearby. Family-owned by a true Italian, the food here is authentic and full of flavor. The sauce is outstanding — rich, fresh, and perfectly seasoned — and the pizza is the kind that keeps you coming back. The atmosphere isn’t fancy; it feels more like the inside of a deli than a formal restaurant, but that’s part of its charm. You come here for the food and the friendly, not white tablecloths. If you’re after genuine Italian comfort food made with care and love authentic Italian food, then consider this place
