La Patrona Restaurant & Bar

This is a great place to have some authentic food prepared by authentic people. The interior is nicely decorated and very welcoming. The food was very good and served with a smile. I would recommend this place for some small town authentic food.

I called about bringing in a group of 4–6 from a work team that regularly meets for dinner and cocktails. When we go out, we typically spend $600–$750 in an evening. We discuss restaurant locations often — it’s part of what we do. Despite the existing Google reviews, we intentionally chose this location to give it a fair opportunity. I asked one simple question: what size shrimp is used in the ceviche? We routinely ask this at Mexican or Spanish-style restaurants. The response was, “I don’t know,” delivered with attitude. I said, “Okay, no problem,” and she hung up on me immediately. The call lasted approximately four seconds. It’s difficult not to feel secondhand embarrassment. Place looks great but the food is not and the prices are not. Spent 20$ on one meal and here it is… No chips, no anything to make it look edible. No seasoning. I tried this place when it first opened and had the same experience. Nachos were awful. I feel like they aren’t even trying.

The chips were light and crispy, and the salsa spot on. The blend of chocolate and spice in the Mole was perfectly prepared, as was the freshly made guacamole. Even the margaritas were very delicious. We will definitely be back when in the area

Had a great Saturday afternoon at La Patrona. Staff was warm and welcoming. The beverages we had were excellent, I quite enjoyed my horchata, and others in my party enjoyed their hibiscus water. While we waited for our order we enjoyed chips and salsa. When the food arrived it looked great! The food smelled amazing and tasted great. Portions were generous. The restaurant was decorated nicely with festive Mexican touches. I wish the restaurant much success! Thanks for the good food and a time well spent!
