La Mia Focaccia

What caught my eye with this restaurant was the freshly baked beautiful looking focaccia bread. Was tired of the routine boring sub rolls you get everywhere. I chose the grilled chicken with spinach, red peppers and mozzarella on a tomato/garlic/basil focaccia. Best sandwich ever! The chicken was flavorful, fresh and moist. The sandwich is huge, I only ate half. Small side of pasta salad included was very tasty and I'm not really a pasta salad fan but I was impressed. Definitely will return. Easy location in a plaza right off Powerline Rd. Quick service and friendly employees.

Today I ate at the best sandwich spot in Fort Lauderdale, a true 10/10. The focaccia bread is hands down the best I’ve ever had. It genuinely felt like I teleported to Italy. I ordered the #16, a hot tuna-melt–style sandwich, and it was unreal. They do both hot and cold sandwiches, and every detail is clearly done right. I also had a soup that tasted exactly like the traditional European soup my grandma used to make pure comfort. Everything was incredibly delicious. I already can’t wait to go back and eat there again.

We stumbled upon this place because our favorite Thai restaurant next door was packed. Boy, were we happy for the inconvenience 😂. The place has an ample dining area and it is very clean. The lady at the register took the time to walk us through the menu and provide some suggestions. At first we were a bit surprised with the prices, but once the food arrived at our table we were convinced it was worth every penny. Fresh breads, extended selection of ingredients, and great service. Couldn't ask for more. No wonder they have been in business for over 24 years.
