We had a great visit to La Mar. The space is beautiful and very spacious, and we were seated right by the window inside the tent with a nice view of the water. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We ordered the Clásico ceviche, which came with catch of the day in a classic leche de tigre with choclo, habanero, and sweet potatoes. It was fresh, bright, and flavorful. We also had a tasting of four empanadas (two chicken, one mushroom, one beef), and it was nice that we could mix and match. For mains, the Lomo Saltado was solid, but the Tacu Tacu tasted bland and was just ok. The Pescado Enchichado leaned sweet but was cooked better than expected. The Black Cod Criollo was dry and a bit bland compared to everything else we had. We also tried the guava juice. It was a

Had lunch today at La Mar and absolutely loved it. I already knew and enjoyed back when I lived in Miami, so coming to this San Francisco location felt extra special. In fact, I first visited this exact spot about 15 years ago with my family and I’m happy to say it’s still just as good. This time I came with my husband and everything we ate was delicious. We were able to sit outside despite the cold thanks to the heaters, which made it really comfortable. The only downside was our server, who wasn’t our favorite, but everything else was honestly 10/10. Food, atmosphere, and overall experience were excellent.

Peruvian food is rapidly becoming one of my favorite types of cuisine. La Mar is a delicious restaurant with great food options to choose from. We dined here for my birthday lunch and enjoyed o great meal with lots of flavorful ceviche. The restaurant sits right on the water next to the ferry building in SF, so you have great views of the water and boats sailing by as you eat. I’d love to come back soon to try more of their menu options.

It's been over 8 years since I had been to the La Mar in Lima. Surprisingly I had never been to the one here. When the weather was warmer, we went on a walk along the Embarcadero, and stopped in for happy hour, because $10 drinks sounded like a good deal. $10 Chicha Punch pretty good! crisp, tangy, and refreshing $10 Chilcano Classico - grapefruit & lemon, cuatro gallos pisco, acholado mommenpop blood orange aperitif , ginger, carbonation good! citrussy and gingery $19 Cebiche Clasico - leche de tigre, red onion, habanero, corn, sweet potatoes good! silky, tangy large cubes of white fish. It'd be nice if the sweet potatoes were cut smaller, so it'd be easier to share. $11 Chifle de Plantano - plantain chips with avocado sauce honestly we just got this to snack on with the drinks Servi

Wonderful experience at La Mar. Highlight for me was the tiradito, we ordered the special which was a whole Dungeness crab, and it was a spectacle to look at and more so to eat. The classic ceviche was also super refreshing. Tbh the lobster and steak was a tad disappointing as the steak was too hard and chewy, but not so much as to ruin the meal. The lobster outshined the steak by far, the meat tasted naturally sweet and plump. The pulpo was a bit on the salty side, but a pleasure to eat too. I would love to come here again and focus my attention on the raw side of the menu.
