La Leyenda Mexican Grill

Wow, we went for my birthday. It was very much the best Mexican food ever! I also tried my husband's food. The seasoning was spot on, and everything was cooked perfectly, too. Oh and there's a sweet birthday 🎂 surprise too! Will definitely be back!

Went here for lunch, big place lots of tables. Service was good, and the meal was as well. Food was presentable. I just feel it needs a little more flavor to my liking anyway. Prices are great for the amount of food you get. Great chips and salsa on the house.

The Carnitas Uruapan is the best Mexican dish my wife and I have had since we moved to Alabama! Since moving to Alabama, we've gone to dozens of Mexican restaurants and have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of many Mexican restaurants. She is from Texas and I lived in California for over 20 years. We've also spent time in Mexico. The food here was shockingly good. We were also intrigued by their rice. Do they use coriander? Fresh cilantro was also used generously and the guacamole salad had generous amount of avocado. Pro tip: if you like spicy food ask for the spicy salsas when they bring the chips. They have an intense habañero salsa as well as an impressive green salsa.

I'm very much unhappy with this place. My son and I didn't get the food that we ordered and we told the waiter that are ordered was wrong. He didn't know what to do and he admitted that he had messed it up. He left the food on our table and walked off. I told him that we couldn't eat it because it was wrong! We didn't have time for them to make another order because we had to leave. When I went to pay for my daughter's order and for our drinks they still made me pay for the food that I didn't get to eat!!! That's WRONG!! Not sure if I will ever go back there again!!!! ( and we usually go 3 times a week) .

A little pricey for the small burrito I was served, it was more like a taco. The chunky guacamole was priced at 5.99 for the small portion, plus there wasn't a whole lot of avocado in it.
