La Huazteca

I loved it here, food was fresh, I liked the steak better than the chicken. Chicken didn’t have much flavor. The steak did have fat in it too. But it was really good. I loved the rice and beans. The lady that took my order was amazing. It’s authentic Mexican food. Go try it out!

10/10 amazing home made Mexican food NOT texmex! Great customer service and the owners were very nice! Food had amazing flavor the only down side was their queso fresco it was way too strong and over powering, over all recommend. Hand made tortillas and as your starters your get freshly made chicharrones they were so good! They have a store to shop merchandise, produce and you can dine in all in one! Will definitely come back their tacos hit the spot and so did their natural homemade agua de Jamaica!

I met with friends here and we were able to easily find a seat for five people. The server was very nice and was able to recommend drinks and food to us. She speaks fluent English and Spanish. Although young, she was an excellent server. She checked back after we got our food, which is an often forgotten step! Every employee that I interacted with here was very nice and helpful so we all felt at home. I ordered four tacos. These appeared to be authentic. The meat seemed dry on the outside but actually it was moist on the inside and I couldn't figure out how that was made! Everything had a lot of flavor. The food was slightly greasy but some would argue that makes it taste better. This food tasted good. I had tasted the burritos as well. They're somewhat more salty than I'm use to but they'

Food was terrible. They also charged me for four meals when I only had three. I confronted them about it and they refunded me. Worst Mexican food I've ever ate.

Wheat wagon-wheel shaped duro snacks with two Table salsas instead of chips!!! SO DELICIOUS!!!! I am sad more Hispanic restaurants don’t serve these!! The green table salsa is the best! I love the seafood ceviche where you get a massive plate of meat and the tostadas come on the side so you build your own. This is the best michelada I’ve ever tasted too, and they are HUGE. The whole fish you tear apart to make homemade fish tacos is so good it’s hard to order premade ones now. Some other fantastic meals worth mentioning there is the seafood cocktail (great for hangovers), the pastor tlayluda, and omg the tripe street tacos!!! This place has sketchy parking but don’t be discouraged!! It’s truly a rare gem of a restaurant in hot springs. They also have a small store with groceries and bottle
