La Hacienda Taqueria

This restaurant is AMAZING! We had delicious food while watching the world series on the beautiful patio. (This was our 2nd visit, and the inside of the restaurant is spotlessly clean and beautiful.) The staff is incredible and the owner is attentive and made sure we were fully taken care of. They started us with perfectly crisped chips and homemade salsa with horchata and jamaica. My wife and I looked at each other in amazement because we both grew up in the valley and this is hands-down the best horchata we've both ever had...and we have had a lot of horchata in our lifetime. Same with the Jamaica. Best we have ever had! We even had to confirm with our server...we said, "IS THIS HOMEMADE??" She said "EVERYTHING is homemade" and smiled. We were mindblown. NOT JUST A MUST-TRY...like, come here every day you possibly can! I cannot emphasize how amazing this restaurant is. The interior is not only beautiful and spectacularly clean, the staff is INCREDIBLE. The manager Carlos is one of the most genuinely kind and beautiful people I have ever met. And the food is wayyy BEYOND what I expected. I was not prepared for this. Everything was PERFECT. We had homemade Jamaica for drinks (so yummy!) and chips and salsa to start. The chips were perfectly seasoned and crisped, and the homemade salsa was AMAZING! My husband ordered the Cali Firefighter burrito with asada, and he loved it so much, it was gone in under 4 minutes, even with it being as big as his face. Please don’t waste your money here, the food is decent but unfortunately you don’t get your moneys worth. The cups were filled half way and we were charged full price . The taste is there but not the quality. In addition the cups are not being filled all the way and the meat is mainly fat. I attached photos so you be the judge. I feel bad because I love supporting small businesses but this is not the way to run a business. This is our 2nd time going and the first time the cup was filled to the top. I’m so lucky to have this Mexican restaurant right across the street from my house! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care. You can really taste the authenticity in every bite — from the perfectly seasoned meats to the homemade salsas. The service is friendly and welcoming, and they make you feel like family every time you walk in. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and everything comes out hot and delicious. It’s officially become our go-to spot for quick dinners and casual family nights. If you’re looking for great Mexican food with amazing flavor and great vibes, this place is a must-try! Best Tacos in Simi Valley. This hidden gem, has a great specials especially for Taco Tuesday. The workers there are very friendly. There Plantains are unique in the area and are great.
