La Fortaleza

I ordered a cemita and it was quite good! The service here was excellent; Lety is very attentive and friendly! I had been to another Clifton location before and the service wasn't pleasant, but it was very different and welcoming here.

Traveled from North Carolina to New Jersey/New York for my yearly trip, one of my friends recommended la fortaleza for dinner and I was very excited to come here along with my family. Upon arrival one of the main things that caught my attention is how unsanitary the place looks but still decided to give it a chance. A few of us ordered cemitas and the rest ordered things such as the molcajete, carne asada plate and Camarones a la diabla. The food took forever to come out and when it FINALLY came out we realized we were missing a few items, we told the lady who seemed to be the owner or some sort of manager about it, but still the molcajete took too long which is why we decided to make it to go sense we had already ordered it. My family and I decided to come to this restaurant after many of our friends recommended it and we’re glad we came it was really wonderful experience and Laura bte was an amazing waitress she was so nice and welcoming loved her would come again!!!!

Cemitas are really good. Service is friendly and the place is nicely decorated with real Mexican stuff. Is a small space so if it is crowded you might be a little squeezed but anyway, is a really good place.
