La Couronne Restaurant

I really enjoyed their pasta e fagiolli soup and the calamari as appetizers. The flavors were on point, especially in the soup and marinara sauce. There’s a lot of Italian food in Montclair, and La Couronne really holds its own in this space, the food is delicious. I also enjoyed the spinach with butter and sage raviolis, as well as the pasta with shrimp. The interior vibe of the restaurant isn’t as modern and trendy as some other restaurants but the food speaks for itself - this place is a Montclair staple, with over 20 years in Watchung Plaza. The service was great, and I’m really looking forward to going back and enjoying more on the menu. The food is excellent, but the service is outstanding. They made my friends and I feel welcomed. The food portions were just right, as they don't have exaggerate to make that a gimmick. Although they don't serve wine, they knew a place nearby where we could purchase for our party. Overall, a wonderful experience.

This BYOB is super cute!!! Roast Chicken Breast - Fresh herb roasted chicken breast over mashed potatoes with a lemon white wine sauce OMG 😍😍😍😍😍😍 10/10 was by far the most tastiest dish I’ve ever tasted ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chicken Parmesan - so good 😍😍😍 spaghetti was perfect and the cheese was yummy 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is a BYOB.. they do not serve any liquor here. LOVEEEEEE THIS PLACE!!!! Delicious food galore!

Love their food and wait staff is outstanding. I had a mussels and shrimp Special that was delixious and I dare you to find a better shrimp scampi anywhere!! The dining room is a bit dated, but comfy and always clean. Def. Go. and byob

The food was very good. Had a garlic olive oil pasta dish that hit the spot and the haddock in marinara sauce a different time which was very good as well. My complaint is that the last time I was there, a couple came in and sat down after us and had their order taken before mine. It's not a big deal but it definitely factors in when I'm writing a review. The interior is nice and we sat by the picture of Yogi Berra in the back left corner of the restaurant. Overall, I had a good experience.
