La Costa Rock Island Restaurant

We decided to try this new Latin restaurant nearby on Sunday afternoon and wow, we are so glad we did. I had the enchilada dish with rice and my mom had a stuffed beef burrito and fresh yuca fries. DELICIOUS. The prices were slightly high in our opinion for an afternoon, but they do have lunch specials during the week. When we had initially arrived and parked, one lady who was leaving told us to get the juice sampler to try their different fresh juices. Wow - amazing. Best horchata I've tried in a long time. The place is actually large inside, colorful with a large bar and big screen TV. And the menu is on an i-Pad, which is super cool because it would avoid costly edits to the menu for reprints. Best customer service (the waitress was so patient with us) Kid friendly, casual dining, music playing fresh juices...food well seasoned. Ohhh the food is served on a banana leaf! I highly recommend the food 😋 ....and the DRINKS!!!! Presentation is amazing we got "vergen" drinks they were so tasty 😍 Sorry 😞 not a lot of food pictures it went to fast. Just a random day and they made it a? Great experience from the food to the drinks tothree music to the overall atmosphere... loved every moment.... you won't regret coming here.... whether on a date or bringing the family to holiday meal options.... they're staff is ready for whatever.... Taco Tuesday is my favorite 😍 Update.... this place is a hidden gem... had the margaritas tonight with the tacos that's are a sin... skirt steak with guacamole and PACKED WITH FLAVOR....

So Myself and wifey decided to try this spot and man oh man this was some of the very best Mexican food I’ve ever had. Fish tacos, burger and nachos were very delicious. Homemade guacamole was amazing! Only disappointment was the bacon not cooked long enough that was on the burger. Definitely bringing the kids back to try different dishes. Explore your city!

I like the place, especially the excellent service from the waitresses. They have a great atmosphere, are very friendly, and are always ready to help recommend dishes from the menu. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the food. They need to improve many things, or perhaps I went at the wrong time. How is it possible that they don't serve chips as an appetizer? The meats were overcooked, and the presentation wasn't the same as what's shown on the menu. As for the sauces, I don't know; maybe it's because they've been in the jar for too long and don't retain the same flavor. They should have a specific expiration date; if they aren't used or sold, they should be replaced. The prices are a bit high, obviously, if the portions were a little better.
