La Costa Mexican cantina

Absolutely love this place – one of the best Mexican restaurants in Jacksonville! The service is outstanding: our server was super friendly and attentive. The food quality is top-notch – everything tastes fresh and authentic, with bold flavors in the fajitas, burrito, and street tacos. Portions are incredibly generous; we end up taking leftovers home because you get so much for your money. And speaking of price, it's an amazing value – nice Mexican cuisine at reasonable price, Highly recommend – we'll be back soon!

This review is based on my most recent visit which was Saturday, 2/28. We went last night and had the worst experience at La Costa we've ever had. We came in around 7 and got seated immediately. It was packed as people were there before going to Kickers. Granted, I have never seen it that busy. We ordered drinks and queso and this is where things went downhill. Our server ended up being the bartender. I had to get up to find her 3 times to ask for another drink, ask to order food, and ask for the bill. We were seemingly forgotten at the table. I also had to get up to ask for silverware after an hour. When we got our food (quesadilla, Chile Colorado, and shrimp diablo), the latter dishes were cold. We had to send both back, one clearly had just been microwaved. The sauce, which is normal

Every bite is fresh and full of that homemade taste you crave. The portions are generous, and you can tell the ingredients are high quality and prepared with care.On top of that, the atmosphere is amazing. The colorful neon sign and lively vibe make it such a fun place to relax, grab a drink, and enjoy great food with friends. La Costa Mexican Cantina delivers both flavor and experience — definitely a spot you’ll want to come back to again and again! 🔥✨

This is my favorite casual Mexican restaurant in Jax! Every time I go here, I am impressed with the taste and quality of the food, as well as the portion sizes of the food and specialty margaritas. I frequently have leftovers when I eat here, which is always a plus. I recommend the Chile Colorado, Carne Asada, and burritos. The complimentary chips and salsa are also quite good. If you drink they have a delicious watermelon margarita. If you're looking for a solid sit-down Mexican restaurant or need a place to eat and grab a drink at before hitting up Kicker's, give them a visit!
