La Chuparosa Waukegan's Premier Mexican Restaurant

I’ve been here a few times now and every visit has been amazing. This is a perfect place for celebrations, a girls night out, or to just enjoy great food. The Pork Belly and Taquitos are my favorite appetizers, and the Golden 24k Salad with shrimp is perfect. I have also come for brunch a few times and tried the Menudo (perfect for this winter time) and the 24k Pancakes. The portion sizes reflect the price, I can often take my leftovers home for a second meal. This is a wonderful addition to Lake County, it saves us a trip to Chicago but still brings the same big energy and entertainment you would find there. It is definitely worth a try, even if it’s just to split appetizers and have a pretty drink. :)

The food was excellent and the experience even better, they do a Fabulous birthday dance/show and its simply explosive and brings Great energy to everyone around. The ambiance is just lovely and absolutely Gorgeous, beautiful paintings/ murals and perfect lighting. The people are so friendly with great energy, I had such a great time and Yesenia, our waitress was so sweet and helpful she made us feel comfortable like an old friend She made great food and drink suggestions and suggested perfect appetizers and everything was simply delicious!! Chef's kiss!!! I can't wait to come back again I will definitely ask for Yesenia she is friendly professional and brings great vibes and really added to the experience. Thank you La Chuparosa I will see you again soon.

The food is delicious and the staff is very nice 💖 I am glad that Waukegan is having more nice places to go out and have a nice dinner 🤤🤤🤤🤤 we love the tártar de tuna and berries, the arrachera, the wings, the salmon, and for the sweets I am pretty sure that you gotta love the Ice cream tour..... Everything that you order here is delicious, you cant go wrong with any of the food!!!! Absolutly we will be there soon 😘😘🤤🤤🤤

Amazing. Some of the best food I’ve eaten. The salmon was perfect. Everything we had was cooked well and seasoned wonderfully. Very attentive to our needs. The best way to put it is that the food tasted as good as the restaurant looked. See the pictures! The cocktails were also lovely and enjoyable.

The restaurant decor ,was amazing and the customer service was excellent. La Toxica drink was amazing so flavorful and unique, definitely a must try. The drinks are definitely the strong point here. For food, we ordered the tinga taquitos, guacamole pork belly, risotto & pulpo a la Padilla, arrachera, aguachile chuparosa and surf & turf. While the presentation was nice, I found the flavors a little underwhelming. The guacamole had too much lime, and almost every dish seemed to come with red onions, which become a bit repetitive. I was especially disappointed with the arrachera I was expecting a richer bolder flavor. Overall, fantastic service and drinks but the food didn’t live up to the same level. With some adjustments to seasoning and flavor balance, this place could really shine.
