La Choza Náutica

Food was a lot better than expected! Always good when the food is above expectation. Carolina our waitress was great! Explained the menu and was very attentive to us! Music was nice as well. It was a bit cold for awhile when we were there but they eventually turned the heat up to a comfortable level. Thank you Carolina for taking care of us!

Ordered for pick up yesterday, and the food was amazing! Chicken has so much flavor, and it's grilled, so it's healthy and definitely not dry. The place is big and has a big screen for sports and dancing. Will definitely be coming back for some dancing and watching the World Cup.

Came today with my family, food was okay, there were some good things but there were some things that were not fresh and over looked that changed the overall experience. We ordered sea food and the crabs were empty shells, the streak was dry, in the lomo there was cartilage and there was too much soy sauce on it, making it overly salty. The noodles for the huancaina were good but the papa a la huancaina had a more less thick sauce which made it not as good. We couldn’t eat the seafood rice it was slimy and wet ish, tasted strange, the yuca was dry and the “pollo à la brasa” was more like grilled chicken which was strange, it tasted good but not what Peruvian chicken is like. Amazing service and big portions of food. Great value! Authentic food and experience. I would highly recommend.

This is an edit of my former review of La Choza Náutica, seven months ago. I wrote my concerns about prices compared to other peruvian restaurants. Today, I got surprised by the adding of tip as it was mandatory, when I asked them to correct it, they argued that the machine was set to include that amount and they couldn’t change it. The fact is that in NJ, the customer is free to decide how much to tip , it’s voluntary, not mandatory. What they’re doing isn’t complying with this state rules. I’m disappointed of their way to conduct business. I can’t recommend this place.
