La Casa Hidalgo

Very nice place for delightful fresh Mexican dinner or appetizers and drinks. Great fun atmosphere. Love the decor. Very festive. Margaritas were sweet, I had 18 Oz and probably should of ordered 12 Oz. Salsa and chips were fresh. I like more cilantro and onions in my salsa but this was tasty just not how I love it. Ordered the steak fajita quesadilla and it was best one ever I have had. Everyone I was with enjoyed their orders. Definitely a place you need on your dining out reservations. Service was amazing. Absolutely clean top to bottom. Very much pride in ownership!! First time dining here. Great first time experience for me and my friends. We will be back!!

A friend and I ordered food to go--seafood chimichanga for me, dinner selection for her with a taco and two enchiladas. Both dinners came with rice and refried beans. We also received our own chips and salsa. Everything was delicious! Everyone at the restaurant was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Delicious Food & Great Atmosphere! 5-Stair review!!! We decided to try out La Casa Hidalgo and ordered food for pick-up. While waiting, I got to soak in the atmosphere, it was warm, welcoming, and had a great vibe. My wife enjoyed the Grilled Chicken Nachos, which were loaded with flavor and perfectly balanced. I had the Fajitas Steak Hidalgo, and it was cooked just right--tender, seasoned beautifully, and packed with taste. My kids loved their meals, especially the Chimichanga and Cheese Quesadilla, both of which were fresh and delicious. Even though we ordered to-go, the staff was friendly and made the experience enjoyable. The food was well-prepared, flavorful, and definitely worth returning for. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you're craving some great Mexican cuisine!

Very clean, NEW, We had steak street tacos, and the shrimp tacos, Very good. Had a shrimp cocktail Huge shrimp. Washed all down with mangonada, and draft XXX. Big menu selection, prices for outskirts of des moines very reasonable. Would recommend, Will do repeat business. Big dining area with outside patio space.

Wonderful people, great service, above average tex mex for the area. If I had any complaints, I miss the burgers from the previous place. That's all, and obviously not on them. Support a local joint. Could not ask for more.
