Food was really good. I appreciated the owner being involved and making rounds and making sure customers were happy. The queso was spicy and I enjoy that, the margaritas were on point and the tacos were leveled up. Not some lame out of the box shells. They had a crunch that was satisfying and the ingredients were fresh. Churros were ok. I have high expectations from LaCayo. I would go out of my way for those! But all in all, the food for good and the service was great.

We came here lastnight for a pick up order. Normally we go to the one on Edgewood but we decided to try this one. Never again, why would they change us 11 dollars for cheese. Look at the amount of shredded cheese they believe is worth charging a customer 11 dollars for. Are you serious??? 11 dollars just for shredded cheese. Last I checked cheese came on them. I’ve never been charged before for cheese and if I was to be charged for cheese it for sure would not be 11 dollars.

Not a fan. Food lacks flavor. We both were sickly after eating here. There was a lot of staff standing around watching us the whole time. We were one of 2 tables. The place was empty. There is a funny “sewer” odor that lingers here and the tables/booths were poorly cleaned. The decor is nice and a neat concept. Just feel the food and service is poorly executed. Seemingly high priced for the quality of what we received. Will not return. There are far better options available

Raul was great to have serving us. The food came out quickly, Raul was funny and engaging with the table, and also let us know about upcoming specials/events they were having at the restaurant. Would recommend checking this place out for either lunch or for late night drinks.

As good as the next Mexican restaurant in Cedar Rapids. Try the California burrito. It's got French fries inside. My daughter loves it because it's something silly and different. But, please go back to your old chips. The new are not great at all.
