La Cabaña Del Tequila

I had the shrimp Nachos and my husband had the street tacos ie fish tacos. The food was amazing! We have several authentic Mexican restaurants the guacamole was fresh! The service was great and our waiter was friendly. If they are full they do make you wait outside or in your car with a beeper if you prefer, because their entrance is a stairwell and is slim.

We are from San Antonio Texas, we love Mexican food. We have been traveling for 3 months, we miss it so much and usually never find good Mexican food on the road….until we found La Cabana Del Tequila! It was amazing! I knew it would be great when I asked for the hotter hot sauce! It’s very red, hot and tasty. I had the asada and shrimp with poblano rafas…stripped of grilled poblano pepper in a creamy cheesy sauce with thin cuts of meat, and grilled shrimp!!!! It was out of this world! Smoky and creamy in every bite! Rice and beans were on point! Grilled jalapeño! Yes please!!! The potions are gigantic! We also ordered their Mescal Margarita, flavor was good but needed an extra shot of mescal! Cant wait to go back. Thank you so much for a wonderful and unforgettable meal. Please give the

Stopped in Alpine to grab a few tacos, instead of the Taco Bus we decided we wanted to sit down. When we got to La Cabana del tequila, they were doing to-go only (they have a small dining room so I would assume it was busy). We ordered 3 tacos each, chicken, and carne asada with mild sauce. The chicken was in very large chunks, seemed not to be seasoned, and although the portions were huge, the quality was not worthy. There was easily enough meat in each container for 5+ tacos, the carne asada was also in large chunks and a tad dry. Wish we had a better experience! The guy who took our order seemed friendly, and the service was decently fast, just unfortunate to eat out of the car as we had driven away and weren’t able to get a refund/order something else instead.

I ordered Chile Relleno plate. It came with rice and refried beans. A really large Relleno 😄. It was very tasty. Came very quickly. Good food. And it a comfortable, rustic spot eat or relax....

We really enjoyed this restaurant, some reviews were just ok but looked ok to try. Waiter sat us and brought chips and Verde salsa right away. My wife ordered 2 street tacos, my daughter a kids taco and I had a Mahi street taco and Shrimp Tostada. Their tacos were plentiful quality meat and My Mahi taco was fresh and fish was moist all on double corn tortillas. The Tostados had lots of shrimp and fresh ingredients with generous Avacodo. Waiter checked on us several times and the food was Very good!!
