La Autentica Mexican Restaurant

In the area on a Saturday early afternoon when we decided to stop by here and eat. Located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. Not busy at all and we were immediately sat and taken our drink order. Place has an open floor plan with plenty of table and booth seating to choose from. Beautifully decorated as any Mexican restaurant. Waitor was super friendly and efficient. Ordered their steak quesadilla and "Caldo de Camaron" shrimp soup. The soup came in a BIG BOWL! Huge! I had plenty leftover for dinner. Soup was very flavorful and a generous amount of shrimp. Nice and hot for that rainy saturday. Came with corn tortillas as well. Their steak quesadilla was very flavorful and came with a salad. Overall, fantastic and flavorful food. Great service and great location. Definitely retur

We visited for lunch on a Wednesday. We went early. The hostess greeted us with a warm welcome. The server was quick to take our order and check on us. While waiting for our lunch we enjoyed the chips and choice between mild or spicy salsa. Both were fresh and delicious. I ordered the lunch special of beef and bean burrito deluxe and the 22oz house margarita. Superb food! And the margarita was perfect. I appreciated the staff stopping by to check in with us even when the crowds started coming in. I highly recommend and will definitely go back.

This is a quite good restaurant in the Newton-Conover area. It is located off of Busjness 321 in the shopping center with Big Lots. I ate a lunch meal on Saturday, Flautas with rice and salad, with the standard corn chips and salsa. The meal was ordered and delivered quickly by a professional waitress who was bilingual. The flautas were crispy and filling. The meal was a lunch special, ordered on a Saturday afternoon. Pricing was as advertised at ~$11.00. Good food, a broad menu, a great location, with competent and professional staff. I’ll be back for sure!

Today was our first experience. We dined in. The environment is very welcome, slightly upscale while still being fun and impeccably clean. The food was absolutely fantastic!!! I cannot recommend it enough! You can tell it is homemade and with love. The shining part of our visit was the service, which is huge when you compare it to how amazing the food was. Our server, Anderson, was the perfect balance of attentive without hovering. He was friendly, informative and answered our questions with genuine responses, had a great personality and saw to our every need without even asking. He made our visit absolutely wonderful. I asked a friend from the area, it’s Sunday the place we had planned to eat for our daughter’s birthday was closed, where should we go. La Autentica was what she recommended. Food and service were great. There were seven of us and we all had a really good experience. Will definitely dine in again, when in the area.
