Super yummy and a nice BYOB place. I came with a group of people and enjoyed trying a little bit of everything! We made reservations ahead of time and our table was prepped and ready when we arrived. I loved the cozy wooden vibe. Our service was great and the food was even better. Everything pork was amazing, the sliders, fried rice, and pork buns were also top favorites. Can’t wait to come back!
I can't express enough how excited I am to have found this restaurant! The food was spectacular and so light and fresh! The service is excellent with ownership that really cares for their business and their patrons. The ambiance is laid back and welcoming with a calm atmosphere and a visible cooking station. The outdoor seating also looks great for nice days with lots of open space. The location has been in Caldwell for 3 years now and they plan to expand which I am so hopeful for! Such great food and excellent service is hard to come by and I can't wait to come back!
What a great place! We went to try the pancakes and they were delicious 😊 We didn't know about the rest of the menu until we got there and we can't wait to come back to try the all of the tapas and skewers the next time. The owner was very and explained the entire menu to us. There was even a lovely welcome note when we got there!
The owner was incredibly kind, and every dish was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the Roasted Pork Carpaccio, Kurobuta Special Niku Set, Tonkotsu Ramen, and Spicy Miso Ramen — everything was amazing. The ramen broth was so good I finished every drop. Definitely a spot I’d return to whenever I’m in the area. Highly recommend!
Oh-no, POOR-OBUTA. I got a GC here from my sister for $40 and I was itching to use it. You want to get pork belly here, that’s what their name means. They also cook on white charcoal, which is a Japanese method they call Bitochan. It takes time. I ordered the Niku Set, for $32 which is grilled meats, and also a bowl of spicy miso ramen for $20. Sadly for almost $60 after taxes, I was unimpressed with the quality and amount of food that was offered. A 12 piece of chicken nuggets would be more substantial than the tiny portions of meat on skewers they gave me. They looked like appetizers. They need to understand that Americans have huge appetites. The wilty lettuce surrounding it was a mockery. The bowl of ramen was nothing special, I was expecting a deep rich umami broth, instead of a mildl
