Krumbs Cakes

Krumbs Cakes made the cake for our wedding last fall and we could not be happier with this decision! We sampled several cake vendors leading up to our wedding, and this shop had by far the most moist and delicious cake. Christian, the owner and baker of the shop, was also so easy to work with and comfortable incorporating requests. For the look we wanted, we purchased rice paper flowers on Etsy and had the Krumbs team place them on the cake the day of the wedding. We went with the vanilla cake with Bavarian cream on the inside and a frosting with a slight rosewater flavor (to honor my Middle Eastern heritage). We got many compliments on the cake because it was so good. Highly recommend this shop!

We got our baby shower cake from here and we were happy with the results. The design exceeded our expectations and the flavor was delicious. We got chocolate cake with berries filling. All the attendants were very attentive and friendly. We definitely found the place to order custom cakes in Marin.

Do not trust Krumbs Cakes with a wedding! They failed to deliver our daughter’s wedding cake. Not late. Not damaged. Not delivered at all. At 7:30 p.m. on the wedding day, while the reception was still underway and guests were eating dinner, Carol emailed me admitting she had “completely forgot to deliver” the cake and that there was “no backup.” A wedding vendor entrusted with a once-in-a-lifetime event had no contingency plan and simply “forgot”. That’s hard to believe as less that 24 hours before the wedding we were communicating about the cake topper. Krumbs made no attempt whatsoever to deliver the cake once the mistake was discovered, no question about whether delivery would still be useful, and no same-day solution of any kind offered. Christian and his team did an amazing job. My husband and I wanted to have a brownie cake at our wedding (and surprisingly that was harder to find than I expected). I reached out to Krumbs Cake and Christian responded promptly with the excitement to create a brownie cake for us (for the first time). We went in for a tasting and everybody was super kind and excited to create a brownie cake for the wedding. They really listened to us and did such an amazing job. We got a three tiered brownie cake with salted caramel on the top for just my husband and I to cut. For the guests we had sheet cake brownie made as 3x4 inch brownies with a dollop of the salted caramel frosting on top of each. The brownies were delicious and at the end, all the brownies had been eaten! I highly recommend Krumbs Cak

Krumbs cakes is our favorite bakery for custom cakes in the Bay Area!! Ever since they baked our wedding cake in 2011, we've been hooked! Their cakes are fluffy, moist, and the ingredients are fresh and high quality and everything is made from scratch. Christian is the friendliest Baker and so easy to work with.
