Krispy Chic

Stopped in this chicken diner on a Monday at lunchtime. Pretty busy but was greeted quickly my order taken and found a booth. Clean bathrooms and food was cooked to order. Ordered the chicken finger plate with fries and a biscuit. Fries were good, chicken breaded good and biscuit was delicious. Would highly recommend if carving fried chicken.

This unassuming restaurant serves fresh tasty food. The atmosphere may be nothing to write home about however, your food is made fresh after you order, so it's not sitting under a heat lamp. WIN! The fried chicken is lightly breaded and pleasantly seasoned the okra was better than expected also. I definitely recommend you give it a try.

I love Krispy Chic! They have the BEST chicken. Crispy, never dried out or overcooked. Tender and delicious. The fried okra is wonderful and the fried corn on the cob is unique and so good. I can't visit Claxton without stopping and eating or taking some home. The people are friendly and happy to serve you. I always enjoy stopping in.

I don't understand all the rave about this place. I have bought family meals and the chicken was basically bone and dry. Thought I'd try them again, and again the chicken was mostly bone, but wasn't as dry the second time around. I figured Id try them one more time and give the 4 strip meal a chance and the strips were literally the tiniest and thinnest strips I've ever seen. They weren't dry at least, but really wasn't impressed by the taste. The okra barely had any breading and a lot of the pieces were over cooked. The biscuit was very tiny and kind of hard and cold. Very disappointed. I probably won't ever go back.

I haven't eaten here in years, but the chicken is still the most crispy chicken I've ever had. The taste has fallen off a bit, but it's still delicious. The mashed potatoes and gravy are straight up KFC. Some people like that, I do not. The biscuit was tiny and under cooked. About what I expected. The drink selection was fine, if you only wanted coke or tea. The tea was good though. Staff was friendly and efficient. We had our food within five minutes. My wife had the chicken sandwich and was very happy with it. The breast was about an inch thick and very crispy. They know how to cook their chicken. The fries taste hand cut and were fresh as well. Our bill was under $17 for two adults. Over all, this is one of the better chicken restaurants in my area. Strong 8/10 would recommend!
