Kris Seafood

People are friendly. It was not what I expected when I pulled up. The food was not unpleasant, but it also wasn't anything to what I would say I must return. Out of the dishes I tried, I would eat the catfish, greens, green fried tomatoes, and cornbread with the pink lemonade.

Today I went to Kris to get a lunch plate, but they didn’t have anything I wanted but my son still wanted some fries. I told the lady(who by the way is very rude) I’ll just get an order of fries. For $3.40 she might have put 9 fries in the to go container, I said ma’am for almost four dollars this could be right. With a nasty attitude she said that’s all. I gave it right back to her. I understand prices have went up but you can’t cheat people.

I saw no "sea" food unless catfish extra crisp counts. I got in at 4:30pm and they close at 5pm. It is cafeteria style. Selections were limited and tired looking at that hour. I tried the Mac and cheese- it was much better than it looks. Also, fried catfish. It was bone in whole fried. There was a lot of inedible parts, but the rest was quite good, though small. The star of my meal was ham and beans- spicy, flavorful - not particularly eye appealing. The eating area is mideast meets Mississippi. It was clean but odd. It looks like a breakfast and lunch operation, so I didn't catch it at its best. This is an experience location, not for the easily intimidated. Reasonably priced. It is family run. The food was fresh, the ladies who were serv8ng the food were bothe polite and patient. Ms. Linda was one of the ladies' names, I believe, and the other lady was India decent. Both were super sweet. Their customer service alone was enough to make me want to go back! You don't find service like that these days! Go Kris!
