KRASA Kraft Restaurant Des Plaines

Came to Krasa for the first time today. Had the Chicago schwarma wrap with fries. It was garlicky, a little sweet from the pickles and absolutely delicious!!! I would love to take that garlic sauce home to dip everything into!!! Totally recommend and will be coming back for more.

I tried the BBQ Burger at KRASA in Des Plaines and was blown away. The beef patty was tender and juicy, the bacon was crispy, and the BBQ sauce had the perfect smoky sweetness. The caramelized onions added amazing depth of flavor. Hands down one of my favorite burgers around here!

The first thing I noticed when we entered was the carpet. Awesome! The place is totally renovated and there are subtle hints that it is Ukrainian. One hamburger is called the UA hamburger. UA is the international code for Ukraine. If you look closely at the tables, there's a Ukrainian symbol in the design. We had a regular hamburger, which was large and so tasty. We also had a Pineapple Kebab. It was huge and also moist and tasty. Give this place a try for some delicious food with a Ukrainian slant.

The atmosphere at the new KRASA is what caught my attention first — cozy, clean, and just nice to be in. The staff made it even better. And the shawarma? So good. Juicy, fresh, and really satisfying. Will definitely be back.

We visited Krasa with my brother. We had been wanting to try this place for a while because of all the promotion in Chicago, but we were very disappointed. We ordered two burgers and fries (regular and cheese). The cheese fries were just regular fries with cold, semi-liquid cheese in a small separate cup — not what we expected at all. In the BBQ burger, all you could taste was the sauce. The flavor of the patty and other ingredients was completely overpowered. The spicy burger had cartilage pieces in the patty, and we couldn’t even finish it. The fries were extremely greasy — it felt like eating oil rather than potatoes. Overall, this place feels overhyped and nothing more. The prices are very high for the quality you get.
