1st time visit on Friday January 30 @ 1530. Family of 4 for Dine-in. We were greeted immediately. Very friendly service and was informed about joining rewards program to get an 15% discount. All areas of the restaurant were clean and organized. The food comes out super fast. We ordered: Old school Sandwich - 10/10 * chops are amazing Hawaiin Bowl - 8/10 * needed more vegetables and more sauce Pork Plate Lunch - 10/10 * i ordered side of hot sauce and that really made it. Kalua Pig Nachos - 3/10 * missed opportunity with chips. Needs more cheese. Maybe use wonton or even seasoned pork rinds. The round tostitos were dissapointing Dole Whip - 10/10 * refreshing Sneakers Shake - 10/10 * tastes just like a Snickers. Ill be back to try the breakfast!
Great tender pork on soft delicious bread. Price was a little high, $18 for the sandwich and $5 for the strawberry lemonade, but I guess these are 2025 prices. Going to have to come back for a bowl.
Kono's Northshore is incredible. This is my fourth Kono's to visit. The atmosphere is great, staff is incredible, and the food, the food broke the mouth! I'm lucky for my favorite Oahu meal, the Old School and a Dole Whip, to be down the road!
How can you not enjoy a place where you are greeted at the door with a cheerful "aloha" , the smell of pulled pork and fresh tropical fruits, surf videos and vibrant color?! My first visit and it won't be my last. The portions are very generous so don't let the price of a sandwich scare you. Easily makes two meals! We had two in our party and tried the "old school" sandwich, a Hawaiian bowl and two milkshakes, the Lava Flow and Kono's Mud Pie. Everything tasted just great and I'm looking forward to finishing the second half of mine for dinner as well as another visit to try other menu items! Aloha and mahalo Kono's North shore!
I got the Triple Threat sandwich and it was probably a pound of meat, cheese, and love. FANTASTIC sandwich. I also tried the Kono’s mud pie milkshake and it was fantastic. I can not wait to come back and try more of the menu.
