Aesthetically pleasing treats for anyone who has a big sweet tooth. We tried the chocolate covered bacon with dried pineapple and coconut flakes along with the unicorn mini cake. All the desserts looked great and they tasted pretty fine. It’s not anything that I would necessarily write home about, but we were still happy. We did it and we were able to split it amongst our party of three. The treats were still absolutely good and hit our sweet spot right where we wanted. recommended for anyone looking for a quick bite or treat.
A great option for a quick stop (or not) during a tour of the Polynesian Resort. Good options for coffee, cupcakes and sometimes some unique options like this cake from Sticht. The prices are good and the food is tasty. Don’t forget the Bacon covered with chocolate.
We stopped in to Kona Island for lunch on our first day in Disney. It's located in the Polynesian hotel with quick access to the monorail that goes to Magic Kingdom. The food selection was good and the above was great. The kids sushi is not real sushi and uses rice with chicken nuggets and vegetables. There are a few options for real sushi and many other food options on the menu. The beer flight was great with Kona beer selections. The dessert we chose was presented nicely and tasted great. Great place to grab lunch at the Disney resort and step away from the parks.
Came to kona café for breakfast before hitting the parks. Service was great. Our waitress was sure to answer any questions we had. We like to share, so we ordered the tonga toast, which was a huge stuffed French toast coated in yummy cinnamon sugar. the breakfast platter was my favorite. The mini pancakes were so yummy, and I really enjoyed the regular French toast as well. My son had a stitch smoothie, which is essentially a Pina colada. The presentation was so cute!
Kona Island Coffee and Sushi is a quick service kiosk in the Disney Polynesian resort. They serve a nice assortment of desserts and coffees and other beverages, and not to mention sushi! They actually have a large selection of chocolate covered bacon, however on this visit we tried the special 50th anniversary cupcake and the s’mores cup. If you are a chocoholic like me, then I highly recommend the s’mores cup. If you are staying at the Polynesian, be sure to grab yourself a sweet treat.
