This was a pretty cool spot food was good rating 7.8 the broccoli cheese casserole, yams, and black eyed peas was good it was very flavorful but the rice and gravy i dont know if it wasn't enough gravy on there once mixed or it needed a lil more seasoning might be due to older people eat there to but either way its eatable porkchop might need some work though it was seasoned but it was a lil ruff.... now that banana pudding baby when I tell you heaven sent whoever made that I want to kiss your hand cause when I tell you baby it need a round of applause cause huh...but I do recommend spent $25 and the portions are a good size

Visited kitchen express and ordered baked chicken, collard greens, yams, cornbread and peach cobbler. The greens were absolutely too salty. All I tasted was vinegar and salt. So nasty and possibly from a can. The baked chicken was ok but needed a little more seasoning. The yams were ok. A little too sweet for my taste buds. The cornbread was a little dry. The best thing was the crust on the peach cobbler. Hats off to whoever makes the cobbler. If I ever go back, it would only be for cobbler. Service was horrible. It took 30 minutes to get through the line. It was a little chaotic. The lady that checked me out did not say one word to me. I may not even go back for the cobbler considering customer service was horrible. I will say the young lady and man making the plates were doing their best

Today 11/16/2025 My husband and I ate here for the very first time we found out about this place from a relative who lived in Little rock and the food was amazing really down home cooked soul food. Staff was helpful being it was our first time they answered all my questions about how to order the food. We spent 29.00 for two ppl but the plates were full and satisfying whenever I go back to Little Rock this will definitely be our go to!!!

There's nothing like down-home cooking except Kitchen Express. If you're craving soul food, then swing by Asher St. in Little Rock to dine in or take out. I took peach cobbler home because I was full as a tick. I really enjoyed the feast, and I look towards another visit soon.

I Probably went at a bad time of day. The dessert was good but the rest of the meal wasn’t. Others had told me it was a great place for a soulful meal. I will try them again and update with that experience.
