All around great experience. The hostess was kind and seated us for our reservation quickly. It’s a very small space so a reservation is your best bet. Easy free parking. Server was kind and attentive and helpful with our decisions. Food: shared the inari, goma-ae, and chirashi bowl to start between 3 people. They added an extra inari as it usually comes with 2 pieces. The inari and goma-ae were good but the chirashi bowl had the it factor. Then, I got the miso clam ramen and a chicken katsu. I think I’d go for the chicken curry rice next time. Sister and aunt loved their dishes: creamy bacon udon and yellowtail collar. If I went back it would be for the chirashi bowl. Finished off our meal sharing the parfait and it was worth it!

Blown away by this ‘fine dining without the fuss’ Japanese lunch spot. Watching the graceful, mindful operation of the line turning our 4 (out of ~160 plates a day) for service filled me with anticipation. And, oh man, did the food deliver. Every picture perfect detail in place. One dish that I would come back for is the egg salad sando on thick cut Kisser Japanese milk bread with kewpi mayo and salmon roe. The roe added exactly the right amount of brine to the lux egg/mayo/milk bread combo. But, everything was amazing. Other dishes we tried were the big salad with miso dressing and a perfectly light, crispy chicken katsu, the masago shrimp inari and the onagiri trio (don’t sleep on the curried kabocha squash). This place was amazing! Walked in as soon as they opened at 11am for lunch and was seated right away. Ordered several plates of food to share. Everything was phenomenal. Hard to recommend which dishes to order because they were all fabulous. My (more) favorite 3 of the 6, surprisingly (to me at least), were the onigiri, egg salad sando, and chicken katsu sandwhich. But they knocked everything out of the park. The flavors of the onigiri, the milk bread, the cozy curry...yummm. And for dessert, I highly recommend the blueberry yuzu parfait. It was just lovely and perfect. Even the presentation of the utensils was beautiful. Our server, Savannah, was the absolute best! This was a very memorable meal!

Our experience at Kisser was superb. The beef tartar was the star of the show! The curry rice and creamy udon were also wonderful. All of the staff were extremely hospitable and made the experience that much more enjoyable.

Was able to jump on a reservation as soon as they opened up. This and Babychan have some the best bites in Nashville. We got the beef tartare, onigiri, ramen and udon. The beef tartare was a standout bc of the perfectly cooked crispy rice and flavor bomb. The clam ramen with some spicy oil was also delish. Def coming back again to try more!
