We were having guests at our place for dinner so we’ve always ordered from King’s Garden And taking the food home. They have always Had the best food But this time we ordered general Taos chicken and the chicken was hard and old, shrimp egg foo Young, and the usual brown gravy which is what You’re supposed to get with shrimp egg for Young, But this time they gave us some other Glazed sauce that I had no idea what it was. After spending $114 for dinner, this was definitely A waste of money. I spoke to SANTIAGO, the only non-Asian in the restaurant on the phone and he told me he was gonna let the owner know how dissatisfied we were. This one’s on Sunday. Monday went by I heard nothing. Today I called and spoke to SANTIAGO again and He told me that he told The owner But the owner does
We randomly stopped here for dinner and glad we did. Nice little spot with a nice sized menu. Our server was great and the dish seafood basket was really good. I did try a piece of the basket itself out of curiosity but the basket itself has no flavor which i expected. It’s probably mainly for show. lol but the kid in me had to try it. The dish itself was pretty tasty with a good amount of seafood. The sauce was nice. It was like a light teriyaki garlic sauce almost. Definitely would go back and try some other menu items.
The great food was very reasonably priced this was unexpected in its location in Chestnut Hill. It is nothing fancy but it's simplicity as to the pleasant atmosphere. It was not crowded so that conversation among our group was easily maintained. I cannot understand why the restaurant was not packed each time we were there. It seems that much of their business must be take out. Addendum. Returned Chritmas eve. Eleven people at our reserved table. Served one by one at five to ten minute intervals. First person served after an hour and she finished well before last person was served. Food was very good. It became apparent that some of the staff failed to show. We all felt bad for the owner who did his best under the circumstances.
Nice restaurant, and inspite of it being very busy with the Harry Potter Festival, we only had a 10 minute wait to be seated. The hot and Sour soup was delicious. I was not impressed with the PuPu Platter. The ribs had little meat, but did have fat. It would have been better to be boneless. Also, the Crabmeat Canton's had almost no filling! Almost entirely air pockets!
I had an amazing meal at this restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The Wild Pepper Chicken was absolutely delicious—crispy, spicy, and full of rich flavors. The portion size was generous, and the service was friendly and efficient. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!
