We ended up miraculously getting a table the night we got into town without a reservation made previously. The atmosphere was top tier. Our waiter, Stephen, guided us through the menu, provided intriguing historical facts and stories, and was very attentive to our table all night. Dinner by candle light was a very cool experience. We especially enjoyed everything we got: prime rib, salmon and crab, the pork shank, and the bread pudding! The peanut soup was super fun to try and surprisingly yummy! I would also highly recommend the homemade root beer!
I haven’t been to Kings arms in decades. I’ve actually had Thanksgiving dinner here and it was memorable. this time we stopped in for lunch and we had their famous peanut soup. I can’t stress enough how delicious the soup really King‘s arm is busy all day. We were fortunate that we came in at a perfect time and we were able to be seated right away. When we left there was a line of people outside waiting to be seated so if you can get a reservation I strongly suggest you do that.
First time here and had a great experience! Our servers were Miranda and Stephen and the history they shared really added to the whole experience. We ate by candle light and all of us in the room shared in the specialness of the night. The food was amazing (roasted duck and prime rib), the drinks were amazing and you have to try the snow eggs!! We will be back!
I came here for dinner my second night staying in Colonial Williamsburg. This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The ambiance and service is truly exceptional. My server Jennifer was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable. I ordered the peanut soup and the salmon with crab and both were delicious and presented well. They don't have a large menu, but they have good options and prices are decent. Even though the restaurant is old fashioned, it is quite charming. You also get a little entertainment with your meal to make the patrons feel that they are in colonial times. Overall, I really enjoyed my first experience here and will definitely come back again the next time I drive down to Williamsburg.
Bread with 3 dips (butter, ham salad, and corn/pepper relish), crab croquettes, bread pudding, mashed potatoes, and veggies were all delicious! The roast duck was dry and a little bland. Service and atmosphere was fantastic. I recommend sharing because of the prices.
