Customer Reviews
My man and I came here for a Valentine's Day dinner. The appetizer dish, shrimp wrapped in bacon with a sweet dip was good. My food, not so much. I was told the filet migon was blue cheese "crusted", but it was more than a tablespoon of blue cheese sitting on top of my filet and gravy on top of that, with mashed potatoes, and a little bit of green beans. It was disappointing for a $50 plate. We ordered dessert as a pallet cleanser. I expected the creme brule cheesecake to have a shell, but there was just a sugary sauce on top. It's still a pretty good place. My fiance liked his meal. He had crab over his filet.
Our first time here- met military friends that we haven’t seen in 30 years. Food was excellent- guys had Prime rib, Cooked to order and minimal fat.Ladies had seafood dishes that they both enjoyed. Dessert was excellent too Crème Brûlée Cheesecake and Key Lime pie. Co- owner stopped by and checked on us and our meal. Wait staff was attentive. We had a table overlooking the Delaware River, it was nighttime- during the day it would have been an excellent view. A ton of history in the building which added to an enjoyable evening. Reservations were easy to make on-line, glad we did as it was busy weekend night. We will be back! 2nd visit as good as the first. We went for lunch. We took a second floor table overlooking the river which was awesome. House salad, crab cakes, and cheesesteak egg r
We had an excellent server, Drew. We enjoyed a water view during our experience. Our meal was absolutely excellent, lobster bisque was perfect in taste though could have been warmer but it was so good I didn't care much, husband loved the King G salad, fresh baked bread, I had the best pork chop and chutney in my life, husband loved his meat loaf. The owner came over to us and checked on us and offered complimentary dessert for our anniversary and we chose the delicious chocolate cake to share. The entire experience was exceptional. We'll be back and we're telling friends.
The waitstaff and bartenders are very attentive. Delicious food, great drinks. I had the Crab stuffed Bacon wrapped shrimp, very tasty . Also the Fish Sandwich, a Great twist on Cod , Parmesan fried coating. Our meal was delicious. Mojito for me and a Blanton Bourbon for my husband.
My wife and I went here for our 17th Anniversary. Got there a little early so went to bar 1st. Drinks were awesome and the selection of bourbon was great. Our table was ready before we even got our drinks, but were allowed to sit and relax. We soaked up a little bar atmosphere before going to the dinning room which overlooked the river. The staff was great and accommodating. One of the owners even stopped by to talk to us for a bit. The food was perfect and well priced. All in all a great bar/inn/ restaurant that's easy to get to and has a history. Will definitely go here again.
