We love our local library! Mr. Jesse and his staff are absolutely wonderful and make our visits so enjoyable. Our son enjoys story time with a craft every Tuesday and all of the fun activities they plan. We couldn’t ask for a better place in our community that helps shape our son into a well rounded and book loving kid!
This is such a cute little library! They have a great selection of books for all ages, and it’s a nice, quiet space to explore. We attended an event here and it was very well done, engaging, well organized, and a great way to connect with the local community. If you're a local or even just nearby, it's definitely worth a visit. A lovely small-town library with a welcoming feel.
This kid-friendly gem of King & Queen county is county run & funded. The dedicated & caring staff are eager to meet any challenges of being our small town library. Perusing the available titles on their shelves made me decide to carve out more time to read in 2025. Maybe even join the weekly book club and/or quilting club that meet there. Plenty of online book possibilities as well via websites they partner with. All you have to do is ask!
Hello, I'm an old retired veteran, and I grew up in a day where the library was an oasis of, if not complete quiet, at least subdued conversation. Sadly, here at the King and Queen Branch, that is not always the norm. I've been frequenting this branch for the better part of fifteen years. Heck, I remember the library being a trailer. The staff is always helpful and professional. My arrival receives a bevy of welcoming faces and a "how can I help" service attitude. Although the service desk is two rooms distant from the adult computer room, it is a mecca of mayhem at sometimes of the day. When visitors to the library gather that space is loud. Happily LOUD! The problem is the design of the building. There is no sound barrier between rooms. Yes, there are doors, but they are kept open, and,
I have been a patron of this branch for years but the disposal of books from this branch is truly appalling. They are very good about ordering books for me but there is very little selection at the library and there is plenty of room for books. I was looking in the non-fiction section and there were only two sides of books in adult nonfiction and nothing on the subjects I was looking for.. I think this is a great disservice to the citizens of this county and does nothing to help promote literacy which in my opinion is a duty of a library system
