King and I Thai

Got takeout. I didn’t really like the cream cheese rolls. They were oily. The sauce was good though. I didn’t like my rad na with tofu at first, but I liked it better as cold leftovers.

Large restaurant. Fills up a third around dinner time. Nice atmosphere when I visited. Choices are typical for Thai and nothing sounded nor looked bad. Egg rolls were smaller, but packed with meat and crispy. They didn't last long. Pad Thai was good. Noodles were a smidge under al dente but still good. It becomes a preference thing at that point. Sauce was tasty but I could have had a half cup more mixed in to even it out across the dish better. I'll be going back to try a few other things nonetheless as it was delicious. Good spread of beers to choose from and they bring a cold glass with it.

It claims to have vegan options but out veg stir fry had chicken in it. It was a to go order and so we had to throw away the entire thing. Even when we ordered veg spring rolls in the restaurant, she brought us one with meat in it. They are not at all careful about customer’s food restrictions or allergies. Will never go there again

Nice little spot in Mendota Heights, had the Tom Yum soup with chicken which was very good; only complaint being I felt it could have had move veggies in it. The lady had the Ginger Stir Fry with tofu and said it was very flavorful but needed more sauce. Would definitely go back.

The staff and restaurant were very inviting. The Thai iced tea was good. The cream cheese rollups were different and were not sweet, but the sauce was. It took a while for our food to come out, but they were also very busy. My daughters pad Thai was good. My dish was not. The brown sauce was thick, almost like pudding. The noodles were thin, wide, and slimy. I had shrimp added to it, and I just couldn't eat really any of it. It was just not a combination of flavors or textures that agreed with me.
