Kim's Family Restaurant

The food was okay but not great, we got biscuits and gravy as well as the Florentine benedict with home fries. The home fries were the only thing I actually really liked, I would get those again just by themselves. The fruit cup had a wide assortment in it which was really cool.

Budget-friendly restaurant. Good portion and fresh ingredients. Service is friendly and seating is comfortable.

I have passed Kim's Family Restaurant many many times but had never checked it out. The outside of the building looks like it has been under construction for years. Which it has. After 5 years, the construction company is still working on it, but that is outside of Kim's control. The interior of the restaurant is very nice. There are teapots on shelfs decorated in the larger dining area, and in the entrance is a counter area or plenty of tables to sit. The breakfast, which I love, is made to order. I have been getting the 3 eggs, bacon, and home fries for just over $8 dollars. The home fries are not your store bought, and they cook it, I suspect someone in the back peels the potatoes, slices them, and they are cooked like scallop style. My wife really enjoyed the Southern Slam and calling upon her Western PA roots proclaimed the biscuit gravy as the best she's ever had. My own Greek-inspired omelette's feta cheese was very fresh, creamy, and not overly salted; the star of the plate. Warm, nicely decorated, and friendly atmosphere with top-level service that checked in often. Nice Sunday Morning stop; glad we found it and will keep in mind.

Had a delicious breakfast at this friendly breakfast spot. The eggs were made to order. The bacon extra crispy which is what I requested. The French toast with canned apples was tasty as well as the pancakes. Service is always amazing and prices are very reasonable. It is a great small business to support.
