KG’s African - American & Caribbean

The food is absolutely spectacularly bombastic! So full of flavor and I love the fact that they do a buffet on every first Sunday of every month. I have been going here for about a year and some change. Every now and then we have to leave town and head up there. This place has become a staple and I completely see why it's always packed! If I had to recommend anything I would try the yassa chicken, you can't go wrong with plantains, they have plenty of selections of rice and beans, the jerk chicken, and I believe they used to have red snapper, not sure what fish they have now but it's good! LISTEN UP...I usually don't post. The Senegalese Dibi was TERRIBLE! Why rob customers of their hard earn cash with a meal full of a bunch of grease & fat-bones? I'm so very dissatisfied and disappointed! The Plantains were greasy too!!! Very sweet, yet DEFINITELY not worth the hard earned $42 worth of pennies spent. There were huge portions of Rice and the Rice/Grilled vegs. had more flavor than the Meat! This not something I would chase down or buy again. Look at the pictures... the big piece one big hard bone! The other tiny pieces fat... bones!!!

I’ve been visiting KG’s for 4 years now and they have always been consistent with food both quality and taste, and service. If I could make one complaint I would say sometimes the lamb dibi (pictured) could be cooked a little longer. Other than that, it’s one of my favorite “hole in the wall” restaurants.

I rarely put a good review but this place is so good they deserve 5 stars . The staff were very nice and the place is clean and friendly. I had a goat stew with Fufu and it was very good. I will definitely come back again. Also it’s Halal ! 💯. Amazing place

Wow very impressed at a very reasonable price your going to get delicious food very very clean restaurant and amazing service highly recommend also get there homemade drinks they are all good definitely coming back!!!!
