Honestly had a very underwhelming experience at this restaurant. The highlight of the meal was the appetizers- the lamb tartar was really good but it was extremely greasy and did not have enough to cut on the oil and grease. I was not a fan of the baba ganoush and the smoked hamachi crudo. The hamachi was extremely fishy and did not taste fresh at all. The lamb could have had more flavor, and the brick chicken was dry. the ambiance was really nice though with the dim lighting! The apple olive oil cake was pretty dense as well. It was too dense and not light enough- what we thought an olive oil cake should taste like. The service was great though. Overall it was decent, was not too impressed for the price. Would not come again.
Beautiful interior and amazing food. I’ve been to their location in Philly and this one here in Brooklyn did not disappoint. Came for Saturday brunch. The Jerusalem bagel, Shakshuka, and blueberry pancakes were all very delicious! Also love the Yemenite latte. Great service. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a great brunch spot.
This place is so warm and personal yet stylish and elegant, we love it. The food is imaginative and well made. The lamb shank is out of this world- nice crust, falling off the bone, in cherry sauce - one of the best things we ate this year. We were treated to a grilled halloumi in blueberry sauce with pistachios that was a perfect balance of sweet and tart and savory.
Beautiful ambience with outstanding food. We had the hummus with mushrooms which was packed with flavor. The hummus was so creamy and the pita was tender and fluffy. We also had the borekasim. Each had a unique flavor and came with delicious dips and perfectly crisp Mediterranean pickles. Chefs kiss. The avocado toast appeared simple, but again super flavorful. The bread was unique, Yemen bread. We didn’t have room for dessert this time but will definitely need to come back another day
It was spectacular, very delicious, very well served. People kind. Love the place.
