This is not a quiet library, or a good place for general relaxing studying, privacy, or reading in a solitary space. There aren't simple medium sized tables and chairs, or cubicles setup for general use. There are 5 styles of general use locations, but they're small, and not inviting, like they want you to leave. Library is huge, but 1/3 the space is for private classrooms, not for public, instead it's made for daycare/children, there's a childrens' space on second floor, which occupies 1/3 it's space. If you want a private space you need to reserve it within a 6x6' room, but there's only 4, and they are usually booked, you cant just go use it, so stupid. The most complex non-userfriendly library you'll ever be forced to use. There's a huge auditorium for some reason. The older library was
Solid overall, but it needs more quiet spots. Feels like a daycare now especially compared to how quiet the old library was. Not sure who approved the new building and everything but sad to see. Still solid but room for improvement since people want to get work done.
Worst brand new library ever, it feels like an airport baggage claim in Philly, cold, metal, drafty everywhere, loud, distracting. The new Kennett library cost 22 Million dollars. Most non calming, not relaxing library you will ever experience. Huge waste of tax payer's money, pethetic design Kennett, as if you wanted to make it uncomfortable for common people. 8 classrooms, huge children's book reading area, auditorium, computer lab for Tony Stark, but no big tables and chairs to sit at to study/read for common people, all it's missing is a missile silo, bunker, and mad scientist facility, but I didn't check their basement. If this message is annoying, that is how Kennett library feels. Gigantic waste of money, you forgot the library part, horrible, gross product, but you can rent books a
Lovely library with lots of amenities & public services and events. Enormous community resource, start here for any new adventures.
The new library is fantastic! They have so many things for kids to do. Tons of books and movies and obviously you can order ones to there if they dont already have them. Most of the staff are very personable and pleasant. My children love to go there and that says so much about a library. Just a really great place top to bottom.
