Keansburg Waterfront Library

Such a nice library filled with kids activities and books, as well as Wednesday events dedicated to kids. We have a two and four year old and love visiting this library for something to do. They also have a wonderful selection of free forever take home books. We are just visitors to the area and did not need a library card to enjoy the activities.

Residents of Keansburg are so fortunate to have such a good library, with wonderful ladies that help all who walk through the doors feel welcome. They are definitely fostering a love of reading. I often boast to my out of town friends that I am always able to get the books that I request without being placed on a long waiting list!

The librarians are loud and proud of their bigotry. They are quite phobic of the 2SLGBTQIA+ and furry communities. They're also weirdly sexist (all women), believing men and women are obligated to stick to their gender roles and not acknowledging the existence of non-binary and healthy intersex people. They'll tell you they support all communities, but their conversations don't match this statement. One of them complains that her child doesn't just take her abuse or follow all her orders. When I overheard the most recent conversation, One of them ended the conversation by saying, " shh, shh, before you know who comes over here." I was the only one in the library not partaking in this discussion, so clearly they were talking about me. They were either upset or scared I would complain to the

I just wanted to say that Melissa Cecchini the story time teller is amazing with the kids and especially mine . She's brought a lot of happiness to Keansburg library and is such a joy and pleasure! The whole staff in Keansburg are such amazing people and a blessing to have in our community . Sarah, Sue and Connie are the best of the best

This place harasses everyone including children who do t have a mask. The woman who was about to go have a cigarette break had her mask on her chin as she harassed me about not wearing a mask. She didn’t have an n95 mask either but was telling me they are required. With what science and proof does this library have that masks are at sill being forced onto ppl if the community?? Mandates were over almost a year ago and schools are no longer requiring them so what’s wrong here???? Woman was about to call the cops and waste their time . The library is not a federal building !!
