Kayak Beach

This recreational spot tucked just off the 528 and sitting right on the Banana River is one of those places that feels like a local secret—at least until launch day rolls around. Its position facing north, just a short distance from the Port Canaveral locks, makes it an exceptional vantage point for rocket launches. You get an unobstructed view across the water, and the sound carries beautifully, creating that perfect mix of anticipation and awe that makes Florida’s Space Coast so special. On a normal day, the area is peaceful and scenic, with soft, sugar-like sand that feels great underfoot. It’s a pleasant place to relax, watch wildlife drift by, or simply enjoy the breeze coming off the river. The sand does get deep in some areas, so be prepared for a bit of a workout if you’re hauling

Sea turtles .. dolphins... Jumping fish... Beach.. waves.. view of the cruise port and NASA shuttle launches ! Really easy in and out and beautiful spot all around

Be careful, easy place to get stuck very sandy and not pavement. Little on the dirty side, people leave their trash behind. But the water and islands are fun to explore on a kayak. We saw Manatee dolphins lots of birds and tons of jelly fish.

Off the beaten path kayak spot better to have a truck or something with good tires lots of sand. You can see dolphins, stingrays, manatees, and a variety of fish out here. Also cool to see the ships and locks.

Perfect place for rocket launch - last Delta IV Heavy from the ULA pad. Pull off just before the bridge (travelling west) and then down towards the dock. You can sit on the grass and get a great view. LOADS of dolphins to watch literally at our feet which was amazing in addition to the launch.
