Katrina's Café

Food is unbelievable! The menu is unique with higher end breakfast options not just your basic little café. Thoughtful combinations for amazing flavor profiles. My husband got the lemon yogurt pancakes and they were as amazing just as we anticipated! Moist fresh lemon zest flavor dusted with some powdered sugar on top not too sweet and syrup was not required! I got the quiche with bacon, zucchini, tomato, and mushroom and it was huge. I ate every single last bite! Sour cream on top was decadent. Atmosphere was cute. Super tight small little space. Services was good considering how busy the place was. Hope to stop here again in our travels. 11/10!!

For some reason I'd never heard of Katrina's Cafe before and I come to Auburn for breakfast semi regularly. Someone told me they have the best biscuits and gravy in the foothills so I had to investigate. I'm not a huge biscuit fan, that's my wife's thing, but I am in to gravy. We were greeted and seated very quickly. The server was friendly and she got even more friendly once she found out we were newbs. The server gave us several suggestions and my wife ordered the Lemon Yogurt Pancakes. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak. She loved her pancakes and even offered me a bite, they tasted great. The CFS tasted great even without the gravy, which it not usually the case. Starting with a 9/10 steak and then putting 9/10 gravy on it #chefskiss. The chicken fried steak was excellent. First time visiting the Auburn area, this place was recommended to visit for brunch .. Look, food was delicious 💯 👍👍 But we are a Latino family visiting.. My wife and I couldn't help noticing not getting the same service as the people of other race/ Skin color..... We waited for about 7 minutes for someone to come and ask if we wanted some coffee or water at least. And not because it was busy... There were plenty of empty tables inside and out ... 2 more couples (not Latinos) came while we were waiting and their service was very obvious... Fast... In a matter of less than a minute the waitress approached them offering something to drink.... An elderly lady with a black walking boot came out and greeted some customers and asked them how everything was.... She Walked by us and didn't

The lemon yogurt pancakes were impeccable! I honestly am having a hard time thinking of any place where I've had a pancake with so much flavor and fluffiness. I didn't even need syrup! Perfectly moist. Kudos the chefs because WOW! My husband had the turkey pesto omelet and I only was allowed one bite to try it 😆 but from that 1 bite I definitely knew what I was getting the next time I came in here! The staff were very friendly but definitely busy as they didn't quite make the rounds as often as we needed for fillups but were quickly accommodating when we asked for anything. As far as the seating goes, there is an outdoor option which is nice because the inside was a little cramped with how busy it got. If your needing a little extra elbow room I recommend sitting outside for sure. All in

Outstanding place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. The food is always great. Extensive menu. The staff is super friendly and efficient. And the prices are very reasonable. How many restaurants can pull that off ? We stop here every time we are in Auburn.
