Started with the beef tataki and scallop crudo and both were excellent. Filet Mignon banh mi was a fun play on a katsu sandwich with banh mi toppings. Garlic crab noodles were absolutely loaded with crab and delicious. Wish we weren’t too stuffed to try the ube tiramisu but we will be back. Hope to see the menu grow a bit too. Absolutely reccomend
Great little Vietnamese-Japanese fusion place. The wagyu pho for $26 is definitely a steep price but it was nevertheless one of the more enjoyable phos I've had recently with very flavorful broth and very tender beef. Was pleasantly surprised by the texture, size, and portion of the ube tiramisu too. Will have to come back eventually to try more of the menu.
I’ve been here a few times and the food never disappoints. The sea bass dish is a must. I’d also recommend the crab noodles and the scallop app. Great little byob spot but service tends to be slow. I still recommend this place because the dishes are fantastic. This would be a good date spot.
Food was great! Small menu but the quality of the food is pretty good for jersey city. Got the scallop crudo, wagyu pho, filet mignon banh mi sando, the crab garlic noodles (sooooo delicious if you love garlic)! Would come back and would recommend to friends!
Was very excited to try Kat Khao because of all the great reviews, and the menu looked amazing. Unfortunately it was very disappointing - none of the food was bad, but nothing was particularly great either. The wagyu bahn mi sando was the most disappointing - you can see how overcooked it was; it was fine, but tasted like a normal semi-tough steak. The crab in the garlic noodles was also super bland and the texture was not ideal. Again, the noodles themselves were tasty - very garlicky- but the crab didn’t seem to add anything (except protein). Pho was good, but Saigon Cafe does it better. The food was not timed well at all, the ramen was ready when we weren’t even finished with either of the two appetizers, and it was a struggle to fit the dishes on the table, then the other entree came
