Absolutely vile. I honestly feel sick even writing this. Just thinking about that night makes my stomach twist all over again. I actually gagged remembering it. This was my first time ever eating there, and it turned into one of the worst food experiences of my life. I went in and ordered takeout for my whole family: four chicken shawarmas and a large fry. The guy behind the counter kept insisting, almost arguing, that I should switch to beef shawarma instead. Against my better judgment, I agreed. We got home, everything seemed fine, and we all ate. At first, nothing seemed wrong. Then it hit. A few hours later, my brother started having severe stomach cramps, the kind where you’re bent over and can’t even stand straight. Then the fever started. We were passing through Windsor and stopped over at this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. The portions were generous, the food tasted great and above all the hospitality and service were excellent.

I asked for Saj shawarma and I had just a pitta bread with being toasted, it was all mushy and soaked in sauce. I also asked for no garlic or onion, they didn’t put the garlic but did put the onion. The chicken was really smelly and tasted rancid!! I haven’t had shawarma this bad.

Delicious vegetarian food (Crispy fresh Falafel and eggplants) with fries along with famous mango sauce (ammba). Really makes your day different. Not to forget wonderful offers for family size weekends Shawarma and kabab.

Nimrut was referred by our contractor and we were very pleasantly surprised. We asked him to prepare something for us authentic. We trusted his recommendations and preparation. He prepared for us chicken, pork, rice, salad, hummus, garlic sauce, pita bread and lentil soup. The servings were large we had leftovers. We usually go to the Roti bowl downtown, but this is another place for authentic food. Thank you Nimrut, see you soon.
