Kare Ethiopian Restaurant

Great experience and delicious food here at Kare! It was my first time here so I had the buffet which was a great way to try out different dishes that they serve. It was all excellent. To top it off they offered coffee for free when my meal was done with incense and a great presentation. Highly recommended if you're wanting Ethiopian cuisine with amazingly kind service and a very authentic atmosphere.

The lady who served is was such an amazing soul. From preparing the food for us to telling us what everything was! She was so sweet and made sure we loved everything! And told us about the buffet they do as well! Definitely will be back!

I'm a huge fan of Ethiopian food and have tried it everywhere I've lived in the US and abroad, when it's been available. This place is so far my favorite in the Phoenix area! We tried the vegetarian/vegan combo and foul, as well as the lentil sambusas. Everything was incredible, service was very friendly and welcoming, and we loved the decoration and music. Whether you love Ethiopian food and are craving shiro wot and zilzil tibs, or this is your first time, you owe it to yourself to try Kare!

My friends and I had such a wonderful time here tonight. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service was great, and the food was delicious. We all enjoyed the coffee, meat and veggie combo and red wine tremendously. Absolutely recommend this establishment.

Kare has the best Ethiopian food in the valley hands down. I love how chill the atmosphere inside with Ethiopian customers chatting and watching Ethiopian music videos. First I ordered meat sambusas. They are super crispy and the filling is delicious. The sauce is very spicy but delicious. We got the meat & vegetable combo and it was delicious. I love meat but the veggies were super good. Finally I got the traditional Ethiopian coffee and that was so earthy and delicious. It comes with a burning frankincense you can smell while drinking the coffee. We hung out there for a while after dinner and had a few glasses of Ethiopian wine. They also sell spices and coffee products I feel like I must return and buy some Berbere spices.
