Kanpai Izakaya

We had a reservation for 2 and were quickly seated. The rolls were delicious as usual. Very fresh tasting. The Bbq eel roll was my favorite. I had the scallops for the first time, not knowing what to expect, and it was very good. It was tender and sweet. Giving the atmosphere a 1 star because of a fight that broke out in the restaurant. We left quickly afterward.

This was one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had! We went on a Saturday evening, and it was phenomenal. We got seated immediately, and was greeted kindly by our server, Emily. We had fried pork gyoza and the stuffed avocados which were amazing. We also had the crunch munch, rock n’ roll, a California roll, shrimp tempura maki roll, MKE roll and the flaming Oh My God roll. We also dipped on sweet pear drink. Our server was so incredibly attentive and kind. She would see about anything we need. Ultimately, this is a place that every person who loves sushi should go! This is an outstanding place for sushi.

UPDATE: After being invited back to give Kanpai another try, I returned excited to try something new. We had the Oyster Shooter (which had a nice bite), Stuffed Avocado (which was absolutely amazing), Menage a Trois, Dragons Den, Boss, Blue Fin Nagiri Atoro, Truffle Parmesan Akimi (an interesting and savory blend of flavors) and Vegetable Udon. All were extremely delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. Our reservation was taken without hassle, and followed up with a confirmation text. We were seated in a well lit booth near the sushi bar, which is always a showpiece. Unfortunately, there was no bartender the night we were there, and they were down a host. Very nice, clean, great service and perfect sushi. I got the chefs selection which came with soup, salad and one sushi roll. Great cuts and nice presentation.
