Kanawha County Public Library

The main branch of the Kanawha County Public Library is amazing. Charleston is very fortunate to have it. If you haven’t been recently, you have to see it. The Reimagine Your Library project completed a few years ago has made it a stunning blend of historic charm and modern innovation. I especially appreciate the expanded colorful and engaging children’s section as well as the sleek teen zone. I have been to more than a few libraries in other states and I have to say that this revitalized landmark is truly exceptional.

Been coming to this library since forever. I always bring my daughter to the events they have whether it’s a cooking class,painting,arts and crafts and etc.. We came for a Xmas party and it was amazing. Cookie decorating,ornament making,playing with puppies,live music and they even fed us. It was probably the best party they have thrown. My daughter and I really enjoyed ourselves!

Kanawha County Library is very welcoming! I attended a luncheon meeting in one of their large conference rooms and it was very nice! Parked in parking garage and walked across, out of the weather, in the connected walkway that goes above the road and entered directly on the 3rd floor.

I’ve been going to this library ever since I was a little kid. I brought my daughter for the first time today and I was blown away! The librarians are so incredibly helpful and the kids floor is perfect in every way - so many diverse picture books for the little ones, a play area and little reading nooks throughout. I can’t wait to bring her back time and time again! And mom can’t wait to explore the rest of the library and all the amazing resources it has to offer. ps - I’ve lived in NYC, DC and Seattle, and the newly renovated Kanawha Public Library is far superior to any big city library I’ve visited.

It's structurally Very Interesting. It has a Coffee Shop inside. Most of the staff is rather nice, unfortunately Several are Extremely Rude.
